Your Reflexology Session
Reflexology is a complementary therapy that promotes well-being by helping an individual to restore and maintain their natural balance.
Dating back to ancient Egypt, India and China, Reflexology is now a mainstream therapy recognised by many conventional medical professionals. I practise the Original Ingham Method of Reflexology, developed by Eunice Ingham, a physiotherapist, in the early 1900s.
Reflexology is based on the principle that all areas of your body, including glands, organs, muscles and nerves, are linked to specific areas of, or points on, your feet, hands and face known as reflexes. As a professional Ingham Method reflexologist based in Dorchester, I have been trained to apply pressure to these reflexes which can help to relieve stress and tension, and help the body reach its natural balance. Similarly, I have been trained in the Bergman Method of Facial Reflexology, which works in much the same way on the face.
Foot, hand and facial reflexology can all help improve blood circulation and boost lymph drainage. Why not book an initial appointment & feel the difference for yourself?
What Can I Expect?
Your first session will include a consultation during which we will discuss your needs and agree your treatment programme. As a guide, each subsequent session will typically last an hour, and it is generally recommended that a course of 4-6 weekly sessions is considered; however, the frequency and duration is up to you.
For foot reflexology, please bring your feet and, if possible, wear comfortable trousers or jeans that aren’t too skinny. For Facial Reflexology or Zone Face Lift, I just need your face; please note you will need to remove your jewellery.
After completing a course of sessions, many people find it beneficial to have regular monthly or quarterly treatments to maintain well-being.
